It used to support the installation of DVDx as well, but that was removed due to the Homebrew channel taking its features. Currently I have a HBC forwarder channel with a green banner (which I don't like) alongside the original Homebrew Channel. The HackMii Installer is the tool used to install the Homebrew Channel and BootMii (including mini and CEIL1NGCAT ). In, they revealed on Twitter that they were working on the scrapped idea to be a replacement for the now defunct Wii Shop Channel. I want to install the Open Homebrew Channel (OHBC) because of the 16:9 Aspect Ratio fix. Since its release as an updated Homebrew Browser, it has grown to having more apps than the original Homebrew Browser, and having updated versions of the apps in the Homebrew Browser. This led to instead modifying the Homebrew Browser's source and updating it to have more up-to-date apps and more apps as well. This, however, proved difficult and the developers were losing interest to go further in this. SD Cards smaller than 256MB will not work. Some SD cards are simply not compatible with exploits. If that still does not solve your problem, try a different SD card. When launched, it displays a list of applications found on an SD card or USB drive. Once installed, it appears as a standard Wii Channel on the Wii Menu. Make sure the Homebrew Channels boot.dol file is in the root of your SD card. The Homebrew Channel is a freeware homebrew application loader that was developed to provide a way of easily running unofficial software on the Wii console.
